When the discussion regarding flameproofing violation issues occurs, it is usually centered around a business or establishment that has failed to meet the fireproofing requirements as laid out by the FDNY.   However, there is another side to the issue of compliance in regard to fireproofing dilemmas. As a certified flameproofing business, we are required to meet certain standards in order to maintain our Certificate of Fitness issued to us from the FDNY; this fireproofing certification allows us to apply fire retardants and issue a fire retardant certificate or affidavit.  As an approved FDNY establishment, there are several items we must adhere to in order to maintain our Certificate of Fitness or risk losing it.

In order to provide you with the very best service and also remain in good standing with the FDNY, we take our validation from the FDNY and their requirements very seriously. As a certified flameproofing company, we are mandated to perform or personally supervise the treatment and testing of all materials receiving an application of fire retardant before issuing an affidavit.  We cannot and do not outsource this to another company. Additionally, we are also required to test the materials that we applied the flame retardant spray to, in order to ensure they are flame resistant.  As would be expected, we also are prohibited from issuing a fire retardant certificate in the case where decorations or scenery had failed a flame test. Knowing that any failure on our part could compromise your safety and our certification status, we guarantee that every aspect of the fireproofing process is FDNY approved before issuing any affidavits.
