Highlights of the Materials Data Sheet

In a society that is inundated with information, often more than we want or need to know, there is an obligation that is placed on our shoulders when it comes to product safety, whether we desire it or not.  However, it is always in our best interest to be aware of what kinds of substances make up products that we come in contact with. In the field of flameproofing, it is no different.  Business owners often have concerns about the toxicity and safety of the chemicals that are used to fireproof a business site.  At NYC Flameproofing, we gladly inform our customers that all chemicals that we use are approved by the FDNY, non-toxic, and water-based.  Yet, there are times when a business owner may want more information, and we are happy to provide them with materials data sheets for the chemicals we use.

If you are curious or have concerns about certain aspects of the chemicals used in the fire retardants that we use, we can provide you with more information to help put your mind at ease and feel more prepared.  Below are the highlights of what you’d find on a materials data sheet.
